I am sure lesser rated car makers, such as Ford and Chevrolet, still have their A/C's working at 21k miles. Honda does NOT deserve their reputation as being some of the best vehicles made with years of reliable service. A/C compressors are supposed to last the lifetime of a car for 10-15 years, not at 21K miles!!! I did some research and discovered that Honda issued a Technical Service Bulletin 19-091 extending the A//C warranty to 10 years, but, only for the condenser!! If the compressor dies, too bad!! The condenser probably caused the compressor to go bad, but, Honda does NOT CARE. I bought my Honda as they are supposed to be so reliable. I took it to a Honda dealership and they said the compressor had failed. I request that this matter be addressed promptly, and the necessary actions be taken to rectify the issue as soon as possible. Additionally, the non-functional A/C is making it impossible for me to drive comfortably in the hot weather in Florida, putting my health and safety at risk. I am extremely disappointed with this news as it has caused me significant financial expenses, especially given the fact that the car is still under warranty. However, the results of the diagnosis revealed that the A/C system has failed due the compressor, needs a replacement. they charged me $250 only for a diagnosis, and I followed the advice accordingly. I immediately took my car to a Honda Dealer maintenance and informed them of the issue.
I tried a few things such as checking the thermostat settings and adjusting the fan speed, but nothing seemed to work. Instead, I felt hot air blowing through the vents. A few months ago, when I started my car and tried to turn on the A/C, I noticed that it was not cooling the air as it should.
